WEST FARGO — Aaron La Deaux has accepted the position of activities coordinator for Horace High School.

La Deaux began his career in education in 2017 as a middle school health teacher for Grand Forks Public Schools. He became the Activities Director for Grand Forks Central High School in 2018, a role he held until making the decision to accept this position with West Fargo Public Schools. He holds a master’s degree in sports management and a bachelor’s degree in education, both from Minot State University, and has his Certified Athletic Administrator credential.

"Aaron has a great vision for running an activities department with high integrity," said Logan Midthun. "He will be an outstanding person to lead the charge not only with the new programs coming online, but to also continue pushing for excellence in the programs Horace High School has already established.”

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of "staff." Often, the "staff" byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
