WEST FARGO — Longtime West Fargo High School teacher Jeff Mueller is retiring at the of this year, but his beloved former students, family and friends couldn't let one of his last choir concerts go unnoticed.

Tuesday, May 10, West Fargo High School alumni attended Mueller's last choir concert and gathered onstage to to say, thank you, for his 42 years as a teacher.

"He has touched so many lives over the years via his passion for music, his patience, and his care for his students," a former student said of Mueller.

Mueller, along with about 27 other retirees will honored at a West Fargo Public Schools event at 4 p.m., Monday, May 23, at Heritage Middle School theater. A social and community celebration is scheduled from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m., in the commons, with light refreshments and musical entertainment provided.
