WEST FARGO — Stage West, West Fargo's performance group, will debut its summer programming this week when "Love, Loss and What I Wore" starts Thursday.

Five performances are planned, starting at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 12, followed by 7:30 performances May 13, May 14, May 20 and May 21at West Fargo’s Thunder Coffee.

"Love, Loss and What I Wore" is a collection of personal stories by superstar sisters Nora Ephron, known for "Sleepless in Seattle," "When Harry Met Sally" and "Heartburn," and Delia Ephron, creater of "You’ve Got Mail" and "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants."

The performance is based on the best-selling book by Illene Beckerman. The play illuminates women, clothing, and the memories that are indelibly connected to what we wear. Five actresses of all ages sit side-by-side with script in-hand, deftly guiding the audience through an evening of laughter, nostalgia and, of course, fashion. They touch on virtually everything – from their first Brownie dress to their first prom dress, from bathrobes to bras, from shoes to boots to skirts, and the value of anything black.

The show raises serious themes while also capturing the humor of life.
