West Fargo Democratic legislators to hold public forum tonight

Discussion topics will include school lunches, property tax credits, restrictions on books and curriculum, funding for private schools, abortion and transgender rights.

WEST FARGO — West Fargo Democratic legislators will discuss hot-button topics and party successes from the North Dakota legislative session at a public forum Monday, May 22.

The “Let’s Talk, West Fargo” event is set for 6:30 p.m. at Traditions Restaurant and Bar, 3330 Sheyenne St.

Monday's event will feature Rep. LaurieBeth Hager, D-21, Rep. Mary Schneider, D-21, and Sen. Ryan Braunberger, D-10.

Discussion topics will include school lunches, property tax credits, child care and workforce development, insulin costs, restrictions on books and curriculum, funding for private schools, abortion and transgender rights.

The public is invited to meet the legislators and ask questions. Legislative districts 10, 13, 16, 21 and 27 are co-sponsoring the forum.
