WEST FARGO — A West Fargo man faces life in prison after being accused of sexually abusing a boy multiple times over two years.

Kyle Ruben Sanchez, 34, appeared Tuesday, Jan. 18, in Cass County District Court on a Class AA felony of continuous sexual abuse of a child.

The investigation into Sanchez began after woman reported to police that her son had been sexually abused New Year’s Day, according to a criminal complaint. Sanchez knows the child, but they are not related, the complaint said.

The child told police Sanchez made the boy strip naked and watch “adult entertainment” before sexually abusing the boy, the complaint alleged. It’s unclear exactly when the alleged abuse started, but court documents estimate sometime between Jan. 1, 2019, and the beginning of this year.

The boy said the abuse happened every day or every other day, the complaint alleged.
