FARGO - The 10th Street underpass in downtown Fargo will close Friday for repairs to damaged pipes and drain, said Kevin Gorder of the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
An inspection Monday closed one lane of the un-derpass and revealed 140 feet of pipe and a lateral drain will need to be replaced, Gorder said.
Damage to the drainage system occurred during this summer's underpass reconstruction and was likely caused by a heavy piece of equipment.
Traffic will be detoured during the repair, which is expected to take about a week. Crews will work around the clock during that time, Gorder said.
The NDDOT will release the schedule for Friday's closure later this week.
