14 from Smart-Wire receive training

Fourteen electricians from Fargo's Smart-Wire have completed their five-year apprentice training program, making them eligible to take their journeyman licensing test.

Fourteen electricians from Fargo's Smart-Wire have completed their five-year apprentice training program, making them eligible to take their journeyman licensing test.

All of the electricians completed at least 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and 900 hours of classroom instruction for eligibility.

The electricians are: Michael Logan, Todd Loman, Kevin Mohs and Shad Stoddard, all Fargo; Jason Byrne, Randy Olson and Joshua Wilson, West Fargo; David Paul, Casselton, N.D.; Patrick Johnson, Moorhead; Darrin King, Kindred, N.D.; Richard Krause and Jerry Vanderplaats, Dilworth; Terry Rehm, Henning, Minn.; and Jon Yeske, Barnesville, Minn.

In addition, they can transfer their training hours to academic credits and apply for associate degrees through the American Council on Education.
