FARGO - The 15th annual Great Backyard Bird Count is scheduled in Fargo-Moorhead and nationally this weekend.

The Audubon Dakota and the Red River Zoo will partner to provide educational sessions at 9 a.m. and noon today at the Minnesota State University Moorhead Science Center near Glyndon, Minn. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to attend.

The goal for participants is to watch birds for at least 15 minutes on one or more days of the count and then enter tallies at www.birdcount.org . Reports from bird watchers across the U.S. and Canada may help answer questions about bird movements.
