MINNEAPOLIS -- Police are holding a 17-year-old boy suspected in a pair of shotgun slayings early Sunday.
Bloomington police arrested the teenager at the Mall of America just before 1:30 p.m.
Minneapolis Police Lt. Mike Carlson said witnesses told officers that the suspect shot his mother's boyfriend with a shotgun inside a south Minneapolis residence at 1:49 a.m. and then fled the scene. Jesse D. Sayers, 28, was dead on arrival at a hospital from a gunshot wound to the head, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office said.
