FERGUS FALLS, Minn. - The 18-year-old accused of stabbing and killing his roommate at a Pelican Rapids home pleaded not guilty Tuesday to second-degree murder.
Juan Martin Morales, 18, remains in Otter Tail County Jail in lieu of $1 million bond.
Court records say Morales stabbed 17-year-old Noe Israel Morales Ramos about 3 a.m. April 17. Police arrested Morales about eight hours after the incident.
Prosecutors believe both men are originally from Guatemala and were in the United States illegally.
