FELTON, Minn. - Two people died Tuesday in minivan accident on a rural Clay County road.
A witness told police that a vehicle northbound on 70th Street struck a bridge at 170th Avenue about 2:55 p.m., bursting into flames, Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist said.
The minivan was resting in a ditch engulfed in flames when police arrived on the scene, he said.
Authorities discovered two bodies inside the vehicle but could not determine their identities - including genders - because of fire damage, he said. Police are checking leads into their identities.
Felton is about 27 miles northeast of Moorhead.
