Two men who face separate charges of rape made their initial court appearances Monday in Clay County District Court.
Both men were charged for incidents last week.
In one case, Stephen Anthony McAllister, 44, address unknown, is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct causing personal injury, first-degree burglary and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
A woman contacted the Clay County Sheriff's Department on Thursday to report a burglary and sexual assault that occurred early Wednesday.
Court records say:

The woman told an investigator she was awakened by McAllister, whom she knew, standing over her with a double-barrel shotgun.
McAllister told the woman he took a door off its hinges to gain access to the home and he hid himself until she fell asleep. He had sex with the woman and then told her he was going to kill her and her children.
McAllister left after the victim told him she would not call police. However, the woman later phoned authorities after McAllister left threatening messages on her answering machine.
McAllister, who was arrested Friday, remained in the Clay County Jail on Monday night in lieu of $150,000 bond or cash bail.
In the other case, Abubaker Eldaw Ahmed, 25, 327 9th St. N., Moorhead, is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct resulting in personal injury and third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Court records say:
A woman called Moorhead police early Friday to report she had been sexually assaulted at a north Moorhead residence where she had attended a party.
The woman said she had consensual sex with one of the men at the party and then fell asleep in a bedroom.

The woman said she was drunk and still half asleep when she became aware a man was taking her clothes off. She said the man then began having sex with her but fled when she started screaming.
The woman ran to a nearby apartment and called police.
Officers took the woman to the residence where she said the assault took place and the woman identified Ahmed as the man who assaulted her.
Ahmed, who was arrested Friday, told investigators he had watched the woman and another man having sex at the party. He said he lay down on the bed with the woman while she was sleeping but he denied having sexual contact with her.
Ahmed was being held in the Clay County Jail Monday night in lieu of $50,000 bond or cash bail.
