GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Two sites in this city have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the State Historical Society says.
Officials said the Grand Forks Mercantile Co. 1898 building was nominated for the distinction. The Near Southside Historic District, the first historic district in Grand Forks, demonstrates early patterns of growth in the city, officials said.
