2 rescued after canoe capsizes on Sheyenne River in West Fargo

WEST FARGO – A man and a woman who were out for an evening canoe ride had to be rescued by police and firefighters after the boat capsized on the Sheyenne River around 5 p.m. Saturday.
No one was injured, said Cass County Deputy Keegan Murphy.
Murphy said the canoe capsized when the couple was turning a corner and hit a tree.

A passerby called police, and firefighters rescued the pair by boat, Murphy said.
