2 suffer stab wounds in Fargo altercation

Police are investigating a double stabbing between two former roommates just after noon Wednesday at a south Fargo apartment.

Police arrived at 2212 6th Ave. S. sometime after 12:10 p.m. after receiving a call that a man had been stabbed, according to Fargo Police Department news release.

One of two men involved in an altercation inside the building ran outside and saw a woman he knew, who called police, said Lt. Tod Dahle.

The man outside the building - a 27-year-old - suffered several stab wounds, police said.

He was treated and released from Fargo's Innovis Health.

Police found the second man, a 46-year-old who lives at the apartment, inside the building and also suffering from stab wounds, according to police. He underwent surgery at Innovis Health.

Police said his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police have not determined what caused the altercation that resulted in the stabbings. No charges have been filed.
