22 people to become US citizens today at MSUM

MOORHEAD - Twenty-two people from 13 nations will become U.S. citizens during a naturalization ceremony today at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

MOORHEAD - Twenty-two people from 13 nations will become U.S. citizens during a naturalization ceremony today at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. in the Comstock Memorial Union Ballroom.

Political science professor Andrew Conteh, a naturalized citizen from Sierra Leone, first proposed bringing the ceremony to the MSUM campus, according to a news release from university spokesman Doug Hamilton.

The event is free and open to the public. U.S. District Court Judge John Tunheim will preside.
