26-year-old dies in Saturday morning rollover crash near Lisbon

LISBON, N.D. – A 26-year-old man was killed near here Saturday morning when he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the road.

At about 6 a.m. Saturday, the man was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Suburban south on North Dakota Highway 32 two miles north of Lisbon when he drove off the road’s shoulder, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said in a news release.

The man turned left in an attempt to correct his direction and lost control of the Suburban, the patrol said. The vehicle rolled over into the ditch on the opposite side of the road, throwing the drive from the vehicle, the patrol said.

After the crash was reported at 8:10 a.m., authorities found the man dead at the scene of the crash and transported him to Lisbon.

The identity of the driver who was killed hasn’t been publicly released.
