PARK RAPIDS, Minn. - Hubbard County authorities are investigating the death of a 61-year-old man who was found in the Fish Hook River in north-central Minnesota on Saturday.
The man was pulled alive from the river late Saturday afternoon about six miles south of Park Rapids and transported to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where he died.
Sheriff Cory Aukes said Monday that “it’s an interesting case.” He would not characterize it as foul play, but said the man was well-known to authorities.
