A chain of popular "walk-in" clinics in our area will be getting a new name and owner starting Wednesday..
After months of talks, WDAY 6 News has learned that 7-Day Clinics will now become part of Essentia Health.
There are five 7-Day Clinics in Fargo-Moorhead and Detroit Lakes, Minn. The popular walk-in clinics have 50,000 patient visits a year.
But Wednesday, the 7-Day clinic signs will start coming down, and Essentia signs will go up.
70 employees from 7-Day are now Essentia staff.

Dr. Hans Bjellum of 7-Day and Peter Jacobson of Essentia said the move will meet the demand patients have for quick access to quality walk-in services.
"They have those options and seven days a week, we are able to get patients to the right place," Jacobson said. "It is the right care setting where we can deliver the type of care that they need."
"And being able to park in front of your clinic and walk ten steps and be inside your door is a real benefit to the patient, as far as convenience, Bjellum said.
The two businesses would not release any details of the financial deal.
