Authorities on Tuesday checked 49 bars and restaurants in Fargo, West Fargo and Cass County to see if workers there were selling to minors.
Failing the inspections were TGI Friday's and Nichole's Fine Pastry, both in Fargo, and Smoky's Of West Fargo.

The first offense can result in a $500 fine if the manager and server on duty have not had certified server training. Multiple violations call for temporary suspension of the liquor license; the license is revoked after the seventh offense.
