MOORHEAD - A Moorhead man has been charged with felony burglary and property damages for allegedly trashing his ex-girlfriend's home in Felton when she was away.

According to a complaint filed Thursday in Clay County District Court, Michael Wayne Penn, 44, kicked in the door to his ex-girlfriend's home, dragged the garden hose into the kitchen and turned the water on, flooding the dining room and kitchen and causing seepage in the basement.

Police also allege in the complaint that Penn defecated on the woman's bed.

Penn also drained the woman's large aquarium and splashed purple paint about the house, police say in the complaint.

Penn was arrested Tuesday in south Moorhead after an officer found his truck, the complaint states. The truck had purple paint marks on it, and Penn had purple paint on his shoes and a pair of jeans, which matched the paint found in the woman's house, police claim.
