JAMESTOWN, N.D. -- Anne Carlsen Center for Children, Jamestown, is hosting Dr. Anne Carlsen Day from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the center's auditorium.

The center will premiere "For Hands and Feet She Used Courage," a new video produced about Carlsen's life. There will be a card party with pie and ice cream. Also available for viewing will be a collection of scrapbooks compiled by Carlsen's niece.

The center also will open a permanent display about Carlsen, featuring some of her awards, crutches and other mementos of her life.

Carlsen, who died in December, grew up without fully developed arms and legs. She was named the handicapped American of the year in 1958.
