MINNEAPOLIS - Opponents of the U.S.-led occupation of Iraq gathered in south Minneapolis on Saturday to urge an end to the occupation.
The group - estimated at between 200 and 300 people - chanted, "End the occupation; bring the troops home." Demonstrators carried banners, flags and signs and drew peace symbols and footprints with chalk on the sidewalk.
The 90-minute rally was peaceful and included a march through the Uptown neighborhood.
