Applications to North Dakota State University's graduate school are up 21 percent over last year and may nearly double the number of applicants from three years ago, the graduate school's dean said.
NDSU is on pace for more than 1,800 applications, compared with 1,547 a year ago, dean Velmer Burton said.
That would nearly double the 974 applications received in 2000, which was the first year of President Joseph Chapman's major push to expand the school's graduate programs.
