MOORHEAD - An arrest warrant is out for a Manteca, Calif., man facing multiple felony charges after allegedly using a stolen credit card to buy $270 worth of lottery tickets here.
Charging documents filed in Clay County District Court on Wednesday against Brandon Jon Lund, 32, say police were called in January 2015 by an employee at M&H convenience store on Main Avenue in Moorhead to report credit card fraud on a transaction of lottery tickets for $270.
A Moorhead officer contacted the cardholder, a man in South Carolina who said he'd recently closed his account.
Surveillance video allowed investigators to link the suspect's license plate to another case of credit card fraud in a purchase of beer, cigarettes and more lottery tickets from a Wessington Springs, S.D., convenience store the previous month, court documents say.
A regional store manager told police he'd been dealing with other cases of credit card fraud at additional M&H locations, including one in Wahpeton, N.D., that showed Lund in surveillance video, the criminal complaint says.

Lund is charged with both felony and gross misdemeanor credit card fraud, plus two counts of theft, one count of receiving stolen property and one count of bringing stolen goods into the state, all misdemeanors.
