The North Dakota Council on the Arts awarded three fellowships of $2,500 in the visual and media arts category. The awards went to Jon Offutt, a Fargo glass blower, James Wolberg, a Fargo architectural ceramist, and Sarah Regan Snavely, a Bowman, N.D., sculptor.
Offutt plans to use the grant funds to purchase materials and a more efficient furnace for large-scale sculptural art. Wolberg plans to further his studies in large-scale and architectural ceramics. Snavely will use the award to create promotional materials for her artwork and hold open studio events.
