FARGO - An armed man robbed a convenience store here Wednesday night, marking the third holdup in the metro area in less than a week.
The robbery was report-ed at 10:07 p.m. at Petro Serve USA, 2921 Broadway.
Two clerks on duty told police a man with a rag over his face came into the store carrying a black handgun, Fargo police Lt. Joel Vettel said.
The robber forced the clerks to open the register, and he fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Officers created a perimeter and tried unsuccessfully to track the robber with a police dog, Vettel said.
The gunman was described as a thin black man who was 6-foot to 6-foot-1. He wore gloves and dark clothing.
