LEONARD, N.D. - A 3-month-old boy who was found unresponsive at a day care here Wednesday afternoon and later pronounced dead at a Fargo hospital has been identified as Preston Heuer, the Cass County Sheriff's Office said in a news release this afternoon.

Authorities were called to a home day care at 4:03 p.m. Wednesday after a day care provider called 911 to report the unresponsive boy, according to an earlier news release from Capt. Rick Majerus of the sheriff's office.

The day care provider told authorities the boy was put down for a nap, but was unresponsive when he was later checked on. The boy was taken via air ambulance to MeritCare Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:14 p.m., the release said.

Authorities do not suspect foul play, Majerus said. The body will be sent to Bismarck for an autopsy.
