Clay County authorities identified the man killed in a tractor rollover accident Saturday as 66-year-old Clayton Richards of rural Georgetown, Minn.
Authorities were dispatched at 2:30 p.m. Saturday on a report that a tractor had rolled over on the 13200 block of 18th Street North and a man was trapped beneath it.
By the time emergency personnel arrived on the scene nearly 4 miles north of Kragnes, family members had already freed Richards from underneath the tractor, which he had been driving.
Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene shortly after, according to a media release from Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist.
Bergquist said it appears Richards was smoothing out the township road from flood damage when he got too close to the ditch and the tractor rolled.

Richards' body was transported to Ramsey County for an autopsy, Bergquist said.
F-M Ambulance, Dilworth and Moorhead fire departments, Harwood rescue and MeritCare's LifeFlight helicopter assisted in responding to the accident.
