Authorities release crash victim's name

The Minnesota State Patrol Friday identified a 15-year-old from Oxbow, N.D., who died in a two-vehicle crash near Comstock, Minn., Thursday.

Michael C. Champ was driving west on 160th Avenue South about 14 miles south of Moorhead when he failed to yield to a van traveling north on Highway 75, according to information from the State Patrol and the Clay County Sheriff's Department.

The van struck Champ's vehicle broadside.

Champ died at the scene.

The driver of the van was identified as Christopher A. Falk, 24, Fargo.

Falk was not injured in the collision, according to the State Patrol.
