Police on Saturday released the name of a man who died after being struck by a train in downtown Moorhead.

Konrad Shayne Greene, 28, was walking north on 11th Street around 3:45 p.m. Friday when he stepped onto railroad tracks near Main Avenue and into the path of a BNSF train.

Police believe Greene had lived in Fargo-Moorhead for some time but did not have his current address.

Green's body has been sent to the Ramsey County (Minn.) Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

The incident was at least the 12th train-related death in the Fargo-Moorhead area since 2000.
