A judge set bail at $20,000 cash or bond Thursday for an 18-year-old Fargo man arrested in connection with the Tuesday armed robbery at Taco Bell.

Anthony Wayne Goodoien has been charged with Class C felony conspiracy to commit robbery and is accused of agreeing with one or more persons to engage in the robbery at Taco Bell, 1001 1st Ave. N.

Witnesses told police two men wearing stocking caps and bandannas stole a large amount of cash from the store's safe. The men entered the restaurant about 1:30 a.m., brandished a gun and demanded all the money in the store, Cass County District Court documents state.

The men fled on foot northwest from the restaurant. Officers called to the restaurant at 1:40 a.m. used a K-9 unit to track the men to a location about a block away, where police believe the men got into a vehicle, Sgt. Jason Nelson said.

The men were described as possibly being in their late teens or early 20s, he said.
