STILLWATER, Minn. (AP) _ Police say a bank robbery suspect apparently shot and killed himself Wednesday in Stillwater after a chase.
The suspect allegedly robbed a bank in Hudson, Wis., around 10 a.m. before fleeing in a white Ford Mustang.
A few minutes later, an Oak Park Heights, Minn., police officer spotted the car, which then fled onto Highway 36 traveling west into Stillwater.
Stillwater police say the suspect turned into the parking lot of Lakeview Hospital, where a Stillwater officer who was following heard a single gunshot.
