Bemidji State student found safe

BEMIDJI, Minn. - The 18-year-old Bemidji State University student who was reported missing has been found "safe," according to the Leech Lake Tribal Police.

BEMIDJI, Minn. - The 18-year-old Bemidji State University student who was reported missing has been found “safe,” according to the Leech Lake Tribal Police.

The police on Monday had asked for the public’s help in locating Erik Jones, 18, a Cass Lake native who was reportedly last seen on Saturday in the Bemidji and Cass Lake areas.

The Leech Lake Tribal Police posted on its Facebook page just after 9 a.m. Tuesday that Jones was located and was found.

“Thanks to all individuals who looked and shared the information about E. Jones,” the post states, “he has been located and is safe. Have a happy holiday season and thanks for the community outreach.”
