A benefit fund has been set up for Nathan Hesse, a 31-year-old Fargo man seriously hurt in a motorcycle accident on Oct. 1.

Donations for his medical bills can be sent to Gate City Bank, 3909 13th Ave. S., Fargo, ND 58103, or dropped off at any Gate City location, his family and friends said in journal entries on CaringBridge.org.

Hesse sustained serious injuries to the left side of his body in the crash, including a compound fracture to his leg.

Police are still investigating the accident, in which a pickup heading north on 45th Street driven by Christopher Dodge, 34, of West Fargo, struck Hesse as the truck was turning left onto Seventh Avenue South.

Sgt. Joe Anderson said police are close to finishing the investigation and will forward their reports to the state's attorney when done.
