Betty Manske, Lisbon, ND, died Tuesday, September 7, 2004, in Lisbon, ND.
Betty Lou Wickoren was born January 18, 1929, in McLeod, ND, to Nellie and Ingvold Wickoren. She attended school in McLeod, ND.
She married Henry (Hank) Manske November 10, 1949, in Moorhead, MN.
They lived in the Milnor/McLeod area. Hank worked for the County Highway Dept., while Betty stayed home raising their seven children. They moved to Lisbon in 1973. At that time Betty started working at Parkside Nursing Home. She enjoyed the residents and many of her co-workers became her life long friends. She retired after 19 years of dedication.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite pass time was cooking and baking for her family and friends. Betty loved music, dancing, playing bingo and cards. She was usually the "life of the party," always managing to make others smile.

She is survived by children, Judy (Tim) Vangerud of Fargo, ND, Jerry (Jan) of Hankinson, ND, Kurt of Lisbon, ND, Roger (Vickie) of West Fargo, ND, Craig (Donna) of Wahpeton, ND, Paul (Janice) of Lisbon, ND; daughter-in-law, Brenda Manske of Horace, ND; 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brothers, Earl (Pat) Wickoren of Milnor, ND, Donald (Louise) Wickoren of Moorhead, MN, Ardell (Kay) Wickoren of Wyndmere, ND, Vern (Nancy) Wickoren of Fargo, ND; sisters, Shirley Wiepking of Lisbon, ND, Dorothy Anderson of Lisbon, ND.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hank; sister, Clarice Halmrast; son, Rodney Manske.
Betty will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She was happiest when surrounded by her family.
Visitation: Friday, Sept. 10 from 1 to 7 pm with a 7 pm prayer service at Armstrong Funeral Home, Lisbon, ND.
Services: 1 pm Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, in Trinity Lutheran Church of Lisbon, ND.
Burial: Freeman Cemetery of McLeod, ND, following the funeral services.
Arrangements are with Armstrong Funeral Home of Lisbon, ND.
