FARGO - Autopsy results for a biker killed Thursday after he apparently struck a gate along a bike path show the man died from a skull fracture, police say.

Gordon Clyde Fineday, 48, likely received the skull fracture from the impact with the ground, according to a news release.

The gate blocks vehicles from driving onto a bike path along the Red River at the Dike East recreational area.

Authorities have ordered a full toxicology screen, although results of the test are not expected for six to eight weeks, the release said.

A funeral home notice shows Fineday as being from White Earth, Minn., but he had also recently listed an Osage, Minn., address, according to Fargo Police Sgt. Jeff Skuza.
