Minnesota State University Moorhead's Regional Science Center will be testing birds for avian flu during an open house Saturday from 8 to 10 a.m. as part of an international effort to monitor the disease before it hits the United States.
The MSUM Regional Science Center is one of 225 sites across the country that will participate in the avian flu monitoring program.
The public is invited to the open house at the Buffalo River site 15 miles east of Moorhead on Highway 10, adjacent to Buffalo River State Park.
