BISMARCK - A man faces an attempted murder charge after allegedly beating his former girlfriend.

Ernest Coppag, 37, allegedly beat the 23-year-old woman in her home and stabbed her twice in the left leg.

"This person suffered a severe beating," Police Lt. Dan Donlin said Monday.
