Appalachian State's Kayla Anderson has transferred to North Dakota State, adding depth to the setter position for the Bison volleyball team.
True freshman Mattie John-son was the only setter for last year's Bison team that fin-ished with a 17-13 record and a third-place finish in the Division I independent tour-nament.
"Adding depth to that posi-tion will be huge for us," said NDSU coach Erich Hinterstocker. "I'm looking forward to her and Mattie competing at that position."
Like Johnson, Anderson will be a sophomore next year. The 5-foot-10 Anderson played in nine matches for Appalachian State, a Division I school in North Carolina that recorded a 23-10 record and reached the semifinals of the Southern Conference tournament last year.
