FARGO — According to Vitalant (formerly United Blood Services), the need for blood donations is high, as the supply of donated blood is “critically low,” according to a press release.
Vitalant blood donations serve patients at nearly 70 hospitals across North Dakota, South Dakota and western Minnesota. The blood service needs at least 250 donors each day to meet the patients’ needs and donations tend to drop dramatically during summer months.
To donate blood, visit a mobile blood drive or Vitalant, 3231 S. 11th St. For more information, call 877-258-4825 or visit https://www.vitalant.org/Home.aspx .
Vitalant has an immediate need for blood donors this Memorial Day weekend and next week as the blood supply remains critically low. Patients in nearly 1,000 hospitals we serve rely on your support. #PowerofAwe https://t.co/4szYbQ9CoQ pic.twitter.com/YkmZ1oHFQz
