The body of a missing man was found Sunday afternoon in a wooded area of Buffalo River State Park in Clay County.

Mark Jon Jorgenson, 48, of Horace, N.D., was last heard from Wednesday after he left his workplace early, stating he did not feel well. On Saturday, his family asked the public for assistance in finding him.

Sheriff Bill Bergquist said a deputy had seen Jorgenson's vehicle, a black 2000 Ford F-150 pickup, at the park earlier in the week. A search was conducted Sunday with assistance of a search dog from Fargo, Clay County K-9 and 23 members of the Clay County Posse.

At 2:30 p.m., Jorgenson's body was found a quarter-mile from his vehicle. Bergquist said the cause of death was unknown, and no foul play was expected.

The body was to be transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiners' Office for an autopsy. The investigation will remain open until the final report is received from the medical examiner. Body of missing man found in Clay County 20071029
