FRANCONIA TOWNSHIP, Minn. - The body of a 31-year-old Minneapolis man was recovered from the upper St. Croix River in Chisago County on Tuesday night, nearly eight hours after he went under and disappeared.
Authorities identified the man as Luis Robles.
Witnesses said he was swimming across the river with two other people when they started to have difficulty, possibly because of a strong current.
His wife and two children witnessed the incident.
