Tim Borchers has been named interim dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
He replaces Kathleen Enz Finken, who resigned to become provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
A graduate of Wayne State University, Detroit, Borchers joined the MSUM speech communication and theater arts department faculty in 1996.
He recently served as a professor and chairman of the communication studies department and also was associate dean in the College of Arts and Humanities from 2005-07.
