A fight between two juveniles escalated into a confrontation between two families Wednesday night, Moorhead police said.
Police Lt. Tory Jacobson said officers were called just after 10 p.m. to 401 Sunset Circle on a report of 20 to 50 people attacking children with bats and other weapons.
Officers arrived to find two families and their friends squared off and armed with baseball bats. Jacobson said the dispute apparently began with an altercation between two juvenile males.
The parties were separated so officers could determine what actually went on, he said.
Reports on the incident have been forward to the Clay County attorney's office for possible charges.
