Birch Burdick filed the paperwork to run for Cass County state's attorney on Tuesday, four days before Friday's filing deadline.
Burdick seeks a fourth four-year term. He was first being elected in 1998.
Among the seven county elected officials who will be up for re-election this year, he was the final incumbent to file.
The other six:
- Commissioners Darrell Vanyo and Vern Bennett.
- Auditor Michael Montplaisir.
- Recorder Jewel Spies.
- Treasurer Charlotte Sandvik.
- Sheriff Paul Laney.
No challengers had filed to run against any of the seven by Tuesday.
The primary election is schedule June 8, with the general election on Nov. 2.
