Cass County announced the River Wrangler Sandbag Warehouse will open on Monday.

The warehouse is the former Smucker's building at 1740 West Main Ave. in West Fargo. The hours of operation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, or until conditions warrant a change.

The county welcomes "river wranglers" from neighborhoods or rural locations along the Red, Sheyenne, Wild Rice and Maple rivers to participate in preparing bags for their homes.

The Red Cross and Salvation Army will provide snacks and water for all volunteers. Volunteers are urged to report to the Scheels Arena parking lot, where buses will be available to shuttle them to the sandbag warehouse. Buses will begin running each morning at 8 a.m. and the last bus will leave at 6 p.m.

The warehouse is heated and has a restroom. Volunteers are urged to bring gloves.
