FARGO - Cass County's flood operations will officially kick off today, with the opening of the county's emergency operations and tactical operations centers.
The Tactical Operations Center, located at the Cass County Highway Department office in West Fargo, serves as the base of operations and dispatch site for local, state and national law enforcement authorities during the flood fight.
Cass County Sheriff Paul Laney said county emergency response teams will be activated at 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Daily briefings with responders also will begin then.
Laney said he expects federal partners in the flood fight will arrive by the weekend to help.
