Cass County's bill for the spring flood is estimated at $720,000, Auditor Mike Montplaisir said Wednesday.
The total includes an estimated $350,000 for employee overtime and equipment costs. After state and federal reimbursements, the county's share likely will be $106,000 Montplaisir said.
That compares to a total cost for the county of more than $3 million for the record 2009 flood, where the local share was $84,000 because of a higher state contribution, he said.
