Two Broadway classics - "Cats," the longest-running musical in history, and "42nd Street," a chorus-girl-turned-Broadway-star musical set during the Depression - are the highlights of the 2005-2006 Gate City Bank Theater season at the Fargodome.
The season will also feature "Cirque Dreams," an exuberant performance complete with acrobats and contortionists, "David Copperfield," an evening of grand illusion, and "The Will Rogers Follies," a Tony Award-winning musical about the American cowboyslash-humorist.
The season will open with "Cats" on Sept. 29. "Cirque Dreams" will take place Oct. 23, and "42 Street" will take place Jan. 30. Viewers can see "The Will Rogers Follies" on March 10. The date for the David Copperfield performance is to be determined.
Subscriptions to four shows, complete with preferential seating, range from $107 to $186. Subscribers can add a ticket to "David Copperfield" for an additional charge.
